    Sean’s Playoff Picks

    Posted by Sean | April 20, 2008 .

    Sean’s Picks
    Eastern Conference
    Round 1
    Celtics def. Hawks 4-0
Boston is amazing, and deep. Atlanta is a good young team, but they
don’t really have the depth, talent, skill, or experience that is
needed in the playoffs. The Celtics have all of that. They might win
one game, but they’ll probably be swept, especially since the Celtics’
    starters are rested.

Miguel Tejada’s Age and the Astros’ Getting a Save!

    Posted by Sean | April 18, 2008 .

So…Miguel Tejada is 33. Not 31. While this may look like it has very little bearing on anything….it doesn’t. As far as the game of baseball goes right now, him being 31 or 33 doesn’t change the fact that he’s hitting .328, and delivering like we hoped him to deliver when we traded for him. [...]

    That’s Not a Sport!

    Posted by Cailin | April 18, 2008 .

Let me introduce myself, readers: my name is Cailin, I’m Eric’s wife and this is my first post. Since I happen to be a makeup writer who found out four months ago that the Steelers do not play baseball, I’m probably not the most authoritative source on sports of the writers here at 7 Game. [...]

Houston Rockets Season Finale and My Birthday

    Posted by Eric | April 17, 2008 .

    Chuck Hayes & Free Throws
This could (and should) probably get it’s own post, but watching the two FT’s that Chuck Hayes shot last night was just painful. It’s like watching Rick Ankiel try to throw a curve. I turned 27 yesterday, and I’ve probably been watching basketball pretty regularly now for 15 years. Never once [...]

    NBA playoff matchups

    Posted by Ty | April 17, 2008 .

i want to talk about playoff matchups.
ok really i want to talk about the rockets.
ok really i just want to say “dammit, the jazz again!”
    please beat the jazz. please?
in all seriousness, i think we might have a better chance this year without yao than with yao. i know last year he was unstoppable, but he [...]

“What’s the deal” with the Houston Astros in the 9th Inning?

    Posted by Sean | April 16, 2008 .

That was a Seinfeld reference…yeah. My last blog was also a reference to the Obama Girl video. I am clever.
What’s up with Astros closers? Serious business. For the last 5 years, the Astros have looked for the next Dave Smith or Billy Wagner to solidify the closer position that these two have dominated for so [...]

Is your NBA Announcer a homer?

    Posted by Eric | April 14, 2008 .

A user over at Flickr has compiled his opinions on a big percentage of the hometown play-by-play and color announcers for NBA teams. He put them into a chart that ranks them on Homerism/Objectivity and NBA knowledge or lack thereof. Check it out and let me know what you think? Wrong? Right? Opinions on people [...]
