i want to talk about playoff matchups.
ok really i want to talk about the rockets.
ok really i just want to say “dammit, the jazz again!”
please beat the jazz. please?
in all seriousness, i think we might have a better chance this year without yao than with yao. i know last year he was unstoppable, but he was also a liability on defense. i think without him, the rockets can focus on the team defensive effort needed to stop a balanced team like the jazz. houston in 7, unless tmac really is cursed to never win a series, then we have no chance unless he gets hurt.

Yao definitely had problems last year with keeping a hold on the ball, but in the few games we got with him this year, he definitely showed improvement. I think if he’d had the opportunity to stick around *sniffle* he would have done a lot better this season and maybe done a better job in the playoffs. And I think our other new blood has changed the team dynamic so much that all of our plays have to change entirely, so it’s really hard to say how he’d do now.
But yeah, I’m also dreading playing the Jazz again…I guess we’ll just have to depend on superhero Carl Landry!
