    Sean’s Picks

    Eastern Conference

    Round 1

    Celtics def. Hawks 4-0

Boston is amazing, and deep. Atlanta is a good young team, but they
don’t really have the depth, talent, skill, or experience that is
needed in the playoffs. The Celtics have all of that. They might win
one game, but they’ll probably be swept, especially since the Celtics’
    starters are rested.

    Wizards def. Cavs 4-3

Even though Washington has “angered” Lebron with their comments about
him being overrated, last year Washington wasn’t even 60%… Since the
trade, the Cavs are barely a .500 team, and the Wizards are completely
healthy this year. The Wizards are a better team, and the unless
Lebron goes COMPLETELY insane, more insane than last year, the Wizards
    will win in 7.

    Magic def. Raptors 4-2

Chris Bosh is ridiculously good, but Orlando is better low post team.
While Rasho Nesterovic has improved significantly, Hedo Turkoglu is
playing ridiculous basketball. Dwight Howard will out rebound
Neserovic and take him over at center. The magic will lose 2-3 games
because of the Magic:Toronto turnover ratio.

    Pistons def. 76ers 4-1

Detroit is an amazing somehow “under the radar” basketball team. Their
starting cast is the most experienced playing with each other, and
their team hasn’t changed all that much since their title win, except
they have more depth on the bench. Philly is an excellent young team
who will probably steal a game from Detroit.

    Round 2

    Celtics def. Wizards 4-2

    Pistons def. Magic 4-2

    Eastern Conference Finals

    Celtics def. Pistons 4-3

    Western Conference

    Round 1

    Lakers def. Nuggets 4-2

The Lakers look great right now, and Pau Gasol is back and healthy.
They have multiple threats, and Kobe Bryant is the best player in the
league. The Nuggets have a lavish offense, and Marcus Camby will out
rebound Pau Gasol. The Nuggets defense is definitely underrated, and
their fast paced gameplay featuring AI and Carmello Anthony will
probably allow them to steal 2 games. The Lakers are better at
protecting the ball, and I don’t think Camby can stop Gasol every
game. Kobe Bryant is also unstoppable, for the most part, and will
create shots where he can. That, and Kobe Bryant is really good. Did I
    mention Kobe Bryant is good?

    Rockets def. Jazz 4-3

That is completely biased, as the Rockets are extremely tired.
McGrady, Landry, and Battier are definitely not 100%, and Alston is
out for at least the first 2 games. McGrady will create shots, and
Landry and Scola are excellent threats at forward. The rockets will
need to play the excellent defense they played during their 22 game
winning streak. Deron Williams is a threat that needs to be
neutralized. Utah is awful on the road, and we do have home court
advantage, so if we can split these first 2 games until Alston gets
back, hopefully we can take a game on the road and the last 2 games at
    home.

    Suns def. Spurs 4-3

Phoenix lost to San Antonio last year because of players getting
suspensions, and no one being able to slow down Tim Duncan. Phoenix’s
acquisition of Shaq was purely to beat this team, and I think they
will. Last game, no Spur could stop Shaq as a low post threat. The
Suns combination of fast paced full court basketball, combined with
Shaq as a go to low post guy will allow them to advance to the next
    round.

    Mavericks def. Hornets 4-3

Chris Paul is really good, but I don’t think he’ll be able to carry
his team to 4 wins this series. Jason Kidd has shown that he has
finally started to mesh with the Mavs, and can actually score baskets
in a Mavs uniform. Look for Jason Kidd to be the do or die for the
Mavs. The Mavs have much more playoff experience than the Hornets, and
it will allow them to advance in 6 or 7 games.

    Round 2

    Lakers def. Rockets 4-3

    Suns def. Mavericks 4-2

    Western Conference Finals

    Lakers def. Suns 4-2

    Finals

    Celtics def. Lakers 4-2
